Mission: In order for me to materialize my aspirations and dreams of pursuing a difficult and interesting project, I want to share what I plan to publish on this blog and what the purpose of this blog will be.
End Goal:
Build/ design wearable devices to capture and record athletic performance and use machine learning and data analysis to predict future athletic conditions and performance.
The purpose of this blog will be to keep myself motivated and to share with others what I am learning in order to reach this end goal. By writing, making videos, and snapping photos of my progress, I hope to aid others that are also learning this material on their own as well as make my understanding of these new concepts more concrete.
Small Goals that will help me reach the end goal:
Everyday, I will make a post relating to at least one of these eight smaller goals and every week I will have done some progress for all 8 goals.
Here is a rough outline for the time progress of this project:
May 25-June 13: Will have finished most if not all reading material
Will have started Kaggle Competition
Will have small arduino and electronics projects blog posts
Want to have built a small cheap 3-D printer
June 14- July 4: Will be well into Kaggle Competition
Will begin designing and creating wearables
Test wearables to see if they are working and make sure they are fully functional
Kaggle competition, arduino practice and reading will continue
July 5- August 1: Will begin to record data to analyze
Continue reading and learning more about coding and machine learning
Kaggle competition, arduino practice and reading will continue
August 2- August 16: Will start to analyze the information collected and finding trends
Continue reading and learning more about coding and machine learning
Kaggle competition, arduino practice and reading will continue

Small Goals that will help me reach the end goal:
- Start this blog
- Finish Make: Electronics book and make posts about small projects
- Read/work through various machine learning books
- Finish an online machine learning course
- Try a Kaggle Competition
- Start building wearables/ come up with wearable ideas and things to measure
- Analyze and record gym data
- Practice and learn more coding languages including: python, matlab, java, C++
